Overview
You need to email a prospect but you are not able to send emails. When you try to send emails, you cannot do it since the send option is disabled. This article explains how to solve this issue by using the Click-to-Email feature.

Xant Playbooks provide the ability to conveniently perform ad hoc (one-off) emails directly from your CRM by enabling the Click-to-Email feature. With Click-to-Email, you can have Xant Playbooks open an email draft or template to send to a prospect as soon as you click on an email address in your CRM.
To use Click-to-Email in Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics, make sure you enabled it first and complete the following steps:
- Open Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics and navigate to a prospect record.
- Click on any email address. An email window will open in the Playbooks area.
- Write and send the email from Xant Playbooks.
If Click-to-Email is not working properly, the most likely cause is a conflict with another Chrome extension. Attempt to troubleshoot the issue by disabling other extensions until the conflict is resolved.
Enabling the Click-to-Email Feature
This feature allows you to click on a prospect’s email address directly in your CRM, draft a new one-off email (or use a template) and immediately send it. To enable Click-to-Email, complete the following steps:
- Open Playbooks.
- Click the menu button (XANT logo) and click on the Settings menu.
- Click Email.
- Click the CRM Click-to-Email switch as shown in the following video:
Disabling this feature will redirect existing CRM email hyperlinks to your default email application, like Microsoft Outlook for example.
