Overview
You may want to review a report that will show how many calls and emails are scheduled for a rep (BDR) for a day and also contacts or accounts to which these tasks are assigned to.
Information
There is no such report in Playbooks. Reps can only check their due tasks individually under the Tasks menu in the Playbooks extension.
You can create a report in Salesforce that will show all tasks assigned to a representative.
If you want to see the upcoming tasks (scheduled but not completed) and associated contacts or other records, your Salesforce administrator needs to create a custom field 'Playbooks Next Step Type' in your CRM for each of the record types you use (account, contact, etc.) - it will show the Type of the next step (email, call, etc.) for any given record. This field is required to see tasks that were not completed yet.
The field needs to be created with the following settings:
- Field Name: Playbooks Next Step Type
- Label (API): Playbooks_Next_Step_Type__c
- Type: Picklist
- Record type: Select the desired record type (e.g. Contact)
- Remember to specify the Task types for this field (e.g., Phone Call, Email, Other); for more information, refer to step 3 of the article Adding a New Step to a Play
- The access/integration user must have Read and Edit access to this field. Basic users need to have only Read access.
Here is an article on how to Create Custom Fields in Salesforce.
After the field is created and the data is synced from Playbooks, you will be able to use this field in your reports.
