You need to delete some users, but don't want to lose all of their Plays, so you wonder if there is a way to transfer their plays to another user first to avoid loosing data.

If you delete a user who owns Plays, this action wont affect the plays at all in any way. These Plays can still be edited (by any user with the relevant permission sets) and records can still be enrolled.

Any current cadences reps might have with that play will be un-affected.

You can "make a copy" of the Plays and in such a case, the copy would then be under a new name and will show the owner as whoever made the copy. In conclusion, you can delete that user and none of the Plays will be affected in anyway.
