Will Our Current Managed Playbooks Activity Solution Be Impacted When Upgrading the Managed Solution for Dynamics to the Latest Version?

You are going to install the latest version of the Playbooks Managed solution for Dynamics CRM and want to know if your current solution (e.g. PlaybooksActivity 2.0 or InsideSalesPlaybooksSolution 1.0.0.9) will be impacted by the upgrade.

Solution

No, there is no impact for your current set up when installing the latest version of the Managed Solution for Dynamics CRM. To ensure backward compatibility, no existing components are removed during the installation, only new components are installed. Also, once Unmanaged Package is installed, it cannot be modified or uninstalled.

Please note that the unmanaged Playbooks Activity provides Charts and Dashboards to quickly gain insights into the activities and 2.0 is the latest version available. It will also not be impacted by the upgrade.
